Built from late nights, small paychecks, and one simple idea.
EK Cup didn't start as a big organization. It started with a few families who knew exactly what it felt like to count every dollar, stretch one paycheck into two weeks, and still want to be generous. We saw kids eating less so parents could eat nothing.
Instead of waiting to be "rich enough" to help, we decided to move with what we had: one cup. The cost of a coffee, once a week, can become rice, milk, blankets, school uniforms, or help with emergency needs for a child or family.
We don't pretend to fix everything. We don't use sad pictures to manipulate you. We tell the truth: there are kids tonight who will sleep hungry or cold. Your small, consistent gift can quietly interrupt that story.
How it started – and where it's going.
Our first "program" wasn't a program at all. It was buying groceries for one family and helping another family cover winter clothes. From there, we began to build a simple rhythm: one cup per week, set aside with intention, sent with accountability.
Today, EK Cup partners with trusted local believers and community leaders on the ground. They tell us what is most needed: food, warmth, school supplies, fees, or help when something unexpected hits. Together we focus on small, clear, trackable help over vague promises.
Long term, we want to see kids who were once "barely getting by" become stable, educated, and able to help others. Many of the kids we help now may become the ones who give later. That's the dream.
